Take your freediving skills to the next level with the PADI Advanced Freediver course. Designed to refine and improve your abilities, this course allows you to progress gradually while gaining a deeper understanding of your body's capabilities during apnea (suspension of breathing).
Hold a PADI Freediver certification (or a qualifying certification from another freediver organization).
Completed Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the past 24 months.
What will I learn?
Gain knowledge about advanced freediving techniques and equipment through independent study using PADI Freediver eLearning.
Participate in confined water sessions to learn stretching and relaxation techniques, as well as refine static and dynamic apnea, with goals including static apnea of 2 minutes, 30 seconds (2 minutes for freedivers younger than 18) and dynamic apnea of 50 meters/165 feet (40 meters/130 feet for freedivers younger than 18).
Engage in open water sessions to practice deeper free immersion and constant weight freedives, along with additional buddy procedures and rescue techniques, with a goal of achieving a constant weight freedive of 20 meters/65 feet (15 meters/50 feet for freedivers younger than 18).

YBD Dive Centre & Perhentian Island Dive Sites.
What is included?
PADI Freediver eLearning materials.
Use of basic freediving equipment including mask, snorkel, bifins, wetsuit, and weight belt. Monofins may also be permitted. Additionally, you’ll need a surface signaling device and a freediving computer (or depth gauge and timer).
