Explore the enchanting underwater world and unleash your inner mermaid with the PADI Mermaid™ course. This comprehensive program expands your understanding of mermaiding while developing dynamic skills essential for underwater self-expression.
Must be able to swim at least 50m/160ft without swim aids and float comfortably at the surface for at least 5 minutes.
Must be in good physical health.
No prior experience with diving of any kind required.
What will I learn?
Expand your understanding of the physical properties of the underwater world and their impact on mermaiding.
Learn additional routine, exhibition, and problem-handling skills essential for mermaiding.
Participate in knowledge development through independent study with the PADI Mermaid eLearning or instructor-led class sessions.
Engage in at least two confined water sessions to develop dynamic mermaid skills, rescue/problem management skills, and conduct mermaid dives.
Learn mermaid-specific skills such as dolphin (butterfly) kicks, C-shape and U-shape side turns, backward somersault turn, underwater handshaking mermaid bubbles, and back glides.

YBD Dive Centre & Perhentian Island Dive Sites.
What is included?
Mermaid tail (monofin), mask, snorkel, and fins.
Use of mermaiding equipment including wetsuit and weight belt.
